Walking is a 'Right of Way' |

About Us |

|
Established in early 2006, The Walking Box company was an inspiration of an individual that spent most days enjoying running on the fells around Cumbria. There has been many famous authors providing visitors with the knowledge they need to explore these scenic fells, but there has always been a lack of clear and precise material associated with singular walks. Many books and leaflets try and cram as much information into a publication as possible. As the general shift in tourism has increased directly related to the upland fells, so too has the standards that suggest a niche in the market; people want more information at their finger tips. We are a small company that will hopefully excel in all areas of upland mapping guides. To work towards the sole provider of high quality walking material in the Lake District and surrounding areas is an on-going goal, but we strongly work with other organisations to achieve the best standards possible to conserve ‘rights of way’ while protecting areas and paths for future enjoyment. We pride ourselves by producing an accurate account of walks that we ourselves, continually use. You may ask yourselves if you are able to achieve the standards set by the leaflets, we say; ‘all standards are met by those who have the courage’. We are donating 10% of rrp. from sales towards the Coniston Mountain Rescue and the ‘Fix the Fells Project’.
